Welcome in! My name is Qiwen Michelle Wei and I am a Junior Economics Major at Boston College, Morrissey College of Arts and Science, with a minor in Marketing, Carroll School of Management. I am a strategic and innovative thinker who is excited to pursue my career in the field of marketing, content creation, social media, and graphic design. My strong academic background, relevant experience, and skills have made me a valuable asset to any organization.
Just like BC's motto, my time at BC has taught me that learning is a lifelong pursuit. Having endless curiosity, I am consistently learning from my friends, family, peers, and mentors. I love listening to other people's ideas and opinions, and I often get inspired by people around me. I am currently a Junior at Boston College, studying Economics at the Morrissey College of Arts and Science and Marketing at the Carroll School of Management. I am expected to graduate in May 2022. At BC, I am also part of the Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA), in which we arrange lots of activities and provide various services for Chinese international students and all the BC students!
I graduated from Roland Park Country School in 2018 as the winner of The State of Maryland Merit Scholastic Award and a member of the Cum Laude Society. Outside of class, I was also part of the International Thespian Society and participated in four school musicals and plays as both stage manager and actress.
Born in Shanghai, China, I have spent my entire childhood and early teenage years in Shanghai, living with my parents. I finished both lower and middle school at Shanghai Jincai Experimental School, where I built a strong foundation for Math and Science. I have also met many life-long friends since we were all living in the same community and going to the same school.

FCMG Marketing Research Project Trainee
During last winter break, I had an opportunity to learn and utilize Nielsen's Retail Index Methodology to analyze a case about the development of the soft drinks market in China. Along with my colleagues, we leveraged the understanding of SPSS to analyze the current market data and constructed PPT decks to suggest marketing strategies for the newly rising soft drink company, Genki Forest.
Mead Johnson Nutrition (China)
Digital Marketing Intern
I spent the summer of 2019 working as an intern at the Digital Marketing Department of Mead Johnson, where I worked closely with department partners on various media campaigns on social media platforms like WeChat, Weibo, and TikTok. My job focused on communication with partner media personals/agencies to collaborate and develop impactful marketing campaigns on various social media platforms.
Shanghai MedFocus Medical & Technology Co.
Sales Management Intern
In the summer of 2018, I worked as an intern at the Sales Department at this pharmaceutical company, where I learned how to analyze sales data, plan and assist inventory management. My job also included identifing new product opportunities with in-depth market research, and developing strong communication skills with potential customers.

Ohza Mimosa Marketing Project
In my Digital Marketing class taken at BC, I worked with a group of members to analyze Ohza's current marketing strategies through in-depth research on its products and value propositions, target customers, social media channels, and content creation. We also built an original digital marketing plan for Ohza, as well as creative digital marketing collateral to support our plan.
Recreo Coffee & Roasterie Marketing Project
In my Integrated Marketing Communication class taken at BC, I worked with a group of members to conduct a strategic business plan for Recreo to promote online sales in order to overcome the economic hardships the business faced due to Covid-19. We provided various promotional executions both online and offline, centering around the idea of coffee care packages.

Life and Interests
I am a really extrovert person in life. I love traveling with friends and taking good pictures. I am very interested in Fashion and exploring current fashion trends. I love finding good restaurants for food and also cooking at home! I am always excited to learn new things (skiing and solving a Rubik's Cube are what I have learned during this quarantine). I love doing exciting and adventurous activities such as riding a roller coaster. I am also a cat-lover!
